Wild caught have eyes that glow red, farmed are green. Kind of indicates they've been mucked around with.
My main seafood joint shut with another opening soon..I could go further where they have the right stuff..Up the road is a little mall it has a fresh seafood shop with not much variiety and to be honest I don't like buying there because when it's sunny they have flies buzzing around it all..No flies today and to be honest I just went to the little mall to see people I don't know..Had no intentions of buying it..I'm very fussy with my food but today I lapsed
Well, one advantage of barra is it does not come from Sydney harbour, which is heavily contaminated from dieldrin, waste product of making agent orange for the Vietnam war.
Barra are the best sports fish to catch, I'd say not a patch on coral trout or Spanish mackerel as a table fish.
Unless you eat it every day its probably not a big issue. The body can deal with a certain amount. I think the advise was no more than a hundred grams a week west of the harbour bridge...

I like how you know the ins and out of seafood as I like to know the ins and out when it comes to my seafood if you know what I mean..I do surf the net for info but it doesn't go in to detail of areas here like you do..I'm addicted to salmon but once or twice a week I like a nice crispy skin Barrumundi because the nutrients is the skin.
