Not actually my "fav" but living during the 40's and the War as a child made me realise how well people can pull together during a crisis. We coped with food rations etc and the fear of being bombed.

The 60's are what I recall most for many reasons . Fashion ,music and so many inter cultural changes going on in the World. I recall exactly where I was when President Kennedy was shot. Some things you never forget.handshake

I was born late 60's
My time was the 80's
We had bad recessions then too
I loved the music at that time
But mostly I loved how life used to be.
We could go on holiday for weeks without locking the door.
People were more real back then I feel.
Blessings for your words

The seventies. I remember going through the U.S. armed forces induction center in single file line and the nurse walks in and orders everyone to drop their shorts, bend over and spread them. The beginning of the end of human dignity for me. laugh

for the music I would love to be born 10 years before in 1958, but maybe then I would wish I wish born in 48. So I know I missed some music but I also have a lot of music from the 60's at home.
When I look at the school and healthcare system I might prefer to be born in 2000.
So it's what is important, for everybody it is different.
If the T-rex was still walking around, eating people, it might be exciting being out doors, hoping you don't meet a T-Rex. It's almost as with the corona-virus now, while walking through a supermarket.

I was born in 1969. I had a great childhood and thereafter. It was a time that as a kid we felt safe playing outside and we had respect for our elders and I was taught the meaning of earning money. and once I got a little older a person's word meant everything.

You guys have some great stories to tell , I love first hand accounts (I'm a documentary lover) and I harass my nan and uncles for stories of them as kids , I love it applause

Me , I was born in December 1980 , during a storm that hit the uk and felled trees , so I'm told . I think I was born in a great era , I had never heard of Junkies , alkies were just friendly neighbours that gave you biscuits if you took their bins downstairs or walked the dogs . We didn't really know about drugs and cults and weird crap like that . I'm not saying it didn't happen , but we just never heard about it down our end , yi know ?

So I can mind stealing the putty from the windows when the window guy came to replace them laugh I mind asking the workies if we could get some of the tar so we could draw our names and stuff , my mam hated Tar , you couldn't get it out laugh We ate wulks and muscles and candy apples and rhubarb from gardens with wee pokes of sugar , and dolly mixtures from the van ..... laugh I liked my food as a child .

Yeah I'm from the 80s baby laugh

In the 80s the movies had way more realistic storylines too. I miss that alot.
We could also ride our pushbike anywhere without worrying about sicko's or being kidnapped etc.
Children had alot more respect for thier elders and used thier manners way more too.
It was happy times.....
Life was going at a slower pace too.....
Less work hours
No wknd shopping in my town.
Only 1 late night shopping up till 7pm each week.
Life was good.

When I look at the 70's criminallity in the Netherlands was low. That was a nice time too for as I remember, but I hated school etc. had not many friends and fights all over the time. A lot of other children bullied me then.
