Oxycodone: Well this virus has left the gates of the world open and extremely vulnerable. People need to learn new skills and fast to adapt to the current changes and affects that are now coming to light.
I prefer to focus on the success of the World, and no, I don’t wish ill will on any country., whilst I acknowledge their failures with global impact.
Most people were unable to cope with the old world... you have to be pretty ignorant to believe the new world will be better by pushing stronger for failed socialism and globalism. Individuals don't even know how to wear masks and run in fear when approached having no skills to even survive. Believing buying more toilet paper will save their lives or barricading themselves from the world. The majority are followers and only patriots will fix the planet by focusing on the real enemy.

Well... Why wouldn't you start a thread on focusing on the real enemy? Whoever it is this day.
I predicts a success of monstrous dimensions, standing ovations and rivers of never-ending venom. You can, meanwhile, bottle the poison and sell it on Amazon. You'll be rich before soon.

How many words can you type a minute?
That panic buying is human nature. However, if at the time when people went nuts raiding the shelves and the situation plummeted , the supply would revert to rationing. Now if people are sensible they will stock up gradually.
Yes there have been mass failures, but to get to grips with the poison that is seeping through the gates there needs to be a sure sense of order and leadership. There is too much at stake right now for countries to be battling within.
We are all living right on the edge of catastrophic meltdown whilst still trying to get to grips with mass amounts of information that changes daily,
So how do you steady that ship? There is no one solution with so much meddling going on.
It’s one thing fighting, agreeing or disagreeing with each other, it’s a total different kettle of fish dealing with something that Is silent and invisible.
This virus is not political, people have made it political.
I hope America bounces back. I have friends there I want to visit.
AI_1984: Spain will certainly use their share for corruption! They're the ones most in need!
I don't know much about Spanish politics but it'll be interesting to see how they apportion the funds between Spain and Catalonia...there's a lot of bitterness there so I hope they don't use it as a weapon against the Catalonians...
Tulefell: There are conditions attached to money, as the article says:
"Where there are fears that reforms are not being implemented by member states in receipt of money, any one EU leader can halt the disbursement to allow the European council of the 27 heads of state and government to “exhaustively” debate the situation."
Conditions are good, but any "one"?? Oh I can see that's going to cause all sorts of problems...

God..it's so lovely to finally read a grown up comment that's sane and realistic.... without the drama and fear mongering as well.. :)
I agree...the EU is on the edge...and I wish the UK were still part of it too because I can't see how the UK is going to manage totally on it's own..and worse, for the British people to see how the EU are working together to fix things...while their own government are ...well..I dunno..what Boris will be doing...does anyone know I wonder?
Tulefell: “EU leaders have reached a historic agreement on a €750bn coronavirus pandemic recovery fund and their long-term spending plans…” - The Guardian says.
“Despite initial opposition from the so-called frugal states of the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden and Denmark, agreement was finally found, following a final 5.15am session of the 27 on Tuesday morning, to disburse vast sums in the form of non-repayable grants to countries most stricken by the coronavirus pandemic.”

In the meantime you´ll just be mastúrbating in your bedroom, in your mothers house, because that´s where you live, and she has to wash your socks, shame on you

About 25% of the money will go to Italy. Just a little over 50% can be used as a gift, the other money will be a loan and they have to pay it back. The countries that want a gift must reform. So I think it's a good deal.
But I am sceptic about the EU. Most east-European countries don't accept fugitives, so the EU will give them a fine. The reaction of the east European countries: We'd rather pay the fine than we accept the fugs.
Maybe the EU should split in 3 parts, the Eastern part, the southern part (Austria, Spain, Portugal and Italy) and the Norrthwestern part (Scandinavia, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, and France). Maybe then even the UK will join the Northwestern part again. Those are countries with a good and strong economy.
The southern part is the weakest link in the chain and you know the saying: A chain is as strong as it's weakest link.
Now the richer countries are giving money to the 'poor', but that can't go on forever. The poor countries should do more to create a stronger economy.

for that to happen Brussels needs to step out of the way,but I doubt they would be willing to do that!
I don't see anything wrong with optimistic markets. Overheating is dangerous, but optimism isn't.
Then I haven't tried anything more dramatic, than to draw attention to the fact that 27 EU countries managed to agree on further co-operation (instead of domino effect, that Brexiteers are drooling for), when the situation wasn't especially... well, optimistic in the beginning. Some people liked the outcome and some (non unexpected in this category, though) didn't.
Perhaps, they prefer hostility? Each man on his own? Well... there are still a lot of places where a mercenary can find his call. And a lot of wild mark where a strong man can live on his own without dependents like elderly and handicapped. But EU decided to stick together for a while longer and I'm glad for that :)
The so-called "Frugal Four" countries — Netherlands, Denmark, Austria and Sweden — were worried it would burden their countries with debt to fund the spending of other governments.
Using grants would have required net contributors to the EU budget, including the "Frugal Four," to pay in more. Relying on loans, meanwhile, would mean saddling highly-indebted countries such as Italy with even more liabilities. The new agreement means the European Union will become a major borrower in global financial markets for the first time. It plans to repay the money by 2058. The agreement was greeted favorably by Europe’s major stock market indices, with the FTSE 100, Euronext 100 and DAX all closing higher on the day. The deal signaled a more firmly united EU, with some of its most troubled southern member nations receiving about 750 billion euros ($865 billion) to help them rebuild.
