Self isolation as where I live is overrun with holidaymakers. My choice as I have a compromised immune system, so I don't need someone calling me a Fascist for wanting to keep away from hoards of tourists .

okay, just one question Have you been self isolating ,before decembar ?
The law in the uk states face coverings must be worn in shops and on public transport, mainly for the protection of others, not the wearer. Personally I don't believe this is necessary as we are getting mixed messages from all quarters. However, I could of course be wrong, Im certainly not arrogant enough to claim I know what the truth is in this matter, in fact I'm not sure anyone does. So as much as I dislike wearing a mask, on the odd occasion I step into a supermarket, or use public transport, I will consider I might be wrong and show respect for those around me by wearing a mask, it's no big deal for me really.

Here is a man who doesn't want to wear a mask (nobody does) but he has common sense to know that there are scientists that are smarter than him and they might be right when they tell him to wear a mask. He doesn't want to take a chance of getting the virus or giving it to someone else.
Why is is so hard for people to use their brain like he is doing instead of their brawn?

We all love scientists, tho they`ve killed more people than WW-1and WW-2 together
I guess someone has switched off ethics and morality from science, a long time ago

Here in Spain, we have to wear a mask even on the street when you're not even near anyone. When we were on our strict lock down, you didn't have to wear a mask in the street if you could social distance. I haven't been on a bus and don't intend to do so and I wouldn't go to the hospital for a check up but that's my choice.
You can sit outside a bar without a mask (social distancing of course) now we have got a ban on smoking (even e ciggs) anywhere, if you cannot social distance but still have to wear a mask in this heat walking down a street where there are no other people. There was a big protest in Madrid the other day (one of the epicenters) of the virus. Protesting having to wear a mask in streets and I totally agree with them. As I stated, we didn't have to wear one in the streets during our strict lock down if you could social distance. Our spiking is due to the Night Clubs and it's people under the age of 40 re the high rate of infections. They should never have opened the Night Clubs but obviously it's the Tourist season and I'm including Spanish Tourists. Now they are planning to close the Clubs. A bit too late now as the season is nearly over.
Schools were closed on 13th March but will be opening again in September. I for one, will NOT adhere to another "strict" lock down. It was bloody cruel. All those kids locked up in their apartments for weeks and not even able to go out for any exercise. We all did it as it was just out of the blue but we will not be locked up again, no matter what. Unless people have experienced it, they wouldn't know what we went through

Yes it seems the restrictions in Spain were much more draconic than in the uk. In fact I hear that it's now mandatory to wear a mask at all times, even on the beach in the Canaries. That should create some interesting sun tans...
Where I live in the uk many are not wearing masks in supermarkets, shops and on buses especially in the less affluent areas. Even though wearing a mask in these places is mandatory, most shops and supermarkets are not enforcing it and the police say they will not respond to reports of non compliance. So I guess it's still entirely up to individual choice.
pedro27: you people always post on the argrumentive threads, does that say anything about u?
Is this thread an "Argumentative" thread? I didn't see it in the title. Come on now Peter, you make loads of threads and people argue. We all have differences of opinions. Isn't that what these threads/blogs are all about? Opinions?
Would you accept wearing a face muzzle permanently? Would you accept social distancing permanently? Would you accept your job going to someone in another country? Do you think you are a diseased person and need to stay away from others? When will enough be enough for you?
Reminding posters of the thread questions...cause very few have been capable of answering them

He makes 6 in a day and very few are worth a look to be honest
Would you accept wearing a face muzzle permanently? I won't accept and won't wear a muzzle of submission Would you accept social distancing permanently? No chance Would you accept your job going to someone in another country? I would fight to keep it Do you think you are a diseased person and need to stay away from others? No I don't When will enough be enough for you? I had enough the moment the fascist lockdown happened My answers to the questions
Just 2 of the recent outbreaks of Coronovirus in the UK
Right...
well lets hope that in the near future some scientist will invent a machine that will make it possible to see viruses-and name it ...something-something electronic microscopic
and it when the WHO forbids autopsies ,it should be somewhat alarming -a `` virus `` so deadly that the survivor rate is 99.98 percent - Why is the WHO creating such a horror scenario???
Why is the WHO insisting on wearing masks-that dont protect you from anything but normal breathing why are they insisting on social distancing??? is it really that hard to do the math ?
But hey, people like me are cconspiracy theorist,.none of us insists on any of you to take off your mask, we dont twist your arm to read our posts ,or hold our hand

Señorita, I agree with what you're saying but... The main reason why masks were not mandatory during the lockdown is because they were not available. We just couldn't get any!
