Dan_777: I know that it has nothing to do with being a vegetarian, but I was trying to keep on topic about the killing of animals for consumption.

For me, i am a vegie because of several reasons.
You have that right because you live in a society where you have a choice & can substitute protein with non meat supplements.
Many countries don’t have that choice .

lillipution: Food chain or not, i don't agree with killing any animal
Then there wouldn’t be farms & the majority of livestock would become extinct.

diova: You're right, hunting is not a sport. Especially trophy hunting, when it's just for kicks.

Sport is when both sides know they're in a game...

It's not even an act of survival. It's simply an act of killing for fun...
Very true!
Think of the bullfighting here in Spain doh

Hello Diova..long time no see teddybear

One2note: What exactly are you living for ?
I'm enjoying my life as it is. Thank you!
There are other pleasures in life.

Some live to eat,
While others eat to live.

One2note: Who kills for sport ?
Fox hunting is a way of controlling animals who invariably kill livestock , not only for their own consumption, but because it’s their instinct.
We kill animals , not only for consumption, but because they are pests , not dissimilar to other rodents.
What about bullfighting?

That's killing a poor innocent animal just for sport and to entertain hundreds of bloodthirsty people.

I didn't suggest it's a sport, which clearly it isn't. I find it difficult to comprehend how the act of killing could be looked upon as sport.

i don't agree with killing

animals have no soul
