FargoFan: I am quite unsure I understand! Would anyone like to explain? Is it beneficial or harmful?
Cancel culture, to my understanding, is the battle cry of those over reacting to something that is slightly disturbing but hardly a threat to civilization.
Well, since you don't have access to google or dogpile search engines... Cancel culture is a small minority of people wanting to destroy what the majority of people like. Here it is anti american, anti humor, anti religion, anti real journalism etc.

The loss of common ground to radical individualism. Nothing can happen in public because everything needs to be on my terms. In a way it complements the clannish lives of the internet, less general public and more the hills have eyes.
Circlip: I don't know anything about these events, Sel, I don't pay a lot of attention to what's happening in the world most of the time, so I can't answer your question.
Is there something else you know something about which you would like to share with us?

I wouldn't say that I was "Anti American" even though I don't agree with certain things, however, as I've stated before, I've always found American people to be very polite in "real time" face to face, every time I've been there It's like some people saying that they dislike the "English". Don't tar everyone with the same brush, especially if you've not even taken the time to actually meet and spent time with them. It's the Governments that are ruling our Countries, not the people that are living in them. We all have our own opinions/ take on things but we can't do anything about it. I'm not talking about Russia and the Ukraine.
There are many Russians and Ukrainians living in Spain, especially where I was living. Very multicultural and we all got on so well. I don't know about now though as I'm not there....I can only go off my own personal experience whilst I was there.

you get well with Russian and ukrainian? You can't even get well with Cs fellows Cella love
ali110: you get well with Russian and ukrainian? You can't even get well with Cs fellows Cella love
Can you explain "precisely" what you mean by that "Love"? I have many friends on here and many enemies, that's life on a Social Media Site. Meeting people in "real life" is a totally different thing. Maybe you should try it one day
In response to: It is merely Leftist groups trying to shout down the other side. It should be put down under freedom of the Press but it's the media doing it.
Well that doesn't quite accord with my meagre understanding, but then who am I after all, I am amongst the uncertain!

A minority? A noisy minority and noisiest it seems on the Internet, wouldn't you agree?.. Small - but vociferous. As for search engines I have used them since day one with great proficiency, but one doesn't believe everything one reads, do they (singular they)? The phrase is commonly used but rarely understood, I think.
The denial of anything and everything that was before "ME"... I know better and everyone who lived before me was wrong ... That's the cancel culture... Rise of narcissism in a massive scale... Emotionally blind and neutered of sensibility society that can not deal with it's own "majestic glory"...

Just to clarify: "Cancel Culture" is what opponents of the phenomenon call it, I don't imagine that the participants in it use that term. It is the people who use the term that I was suggesting are over reacting.
