maladjusted: May I nominate Glengarry Glen Ross ? Alec Baldwin's " hit the bricks " motivational speech to the salesmen is wonderful .
I always hated Alec except in Good Will Hunting,
but I'll have a look at his speech. Hope I fall off my high-chair purple heart

Grandsiozzie: Must have been bad, but that is why I need a gf who don't give a damm about materialistic values.
We must be ready to move into a tent on 5 min notice and still be happy and strong.
Absolutely. All we need is love, survival strength and joy in our hearts. Don't get me wrong, money makes decisions much easier and comfort comes with capability to secure them. However, there's nothing like basic living. I love the farm where we can grow our food, and live very simply. Ok, no mortgage, no monthly car payments, just simple life. I'm ready.

I cried a lot with the movie, Beaches. Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey. A remarkable account of what a true friendship is.

lindsyjones: I'm sure many of us watch movies.

What are your favorites and why?

Care to share them?

Mine is Gone with the wind.

Followed by Ratatouille.

The first is a very classic and a very relatable movie not only in
terms of struggles and strength but survival.

The second, just lovely. Made me smile.

The Godfather. Simply engaging
My favorite film franchise has always been American Pie. American Pie, American Pie 2, American Wedding, and American Reunion. Doesn't get any better then those. It's the nostalgia factor that really appeals to me. I was in high school when the first one came out in 1999. thumbs up

Can you tell me what makes you feel good about them? Besides nostalgia of course. Thanks Philwave

Blade Runner 1 and 2 are my all time favorites because I fell in love with Rachel who looks like someone I met two years later. We got married eventually and lived happily ever after until she died because of a small cell cancer.

Deckard meets replicant Rachel...

Deckard meets his replicant daughter (by Rachel)
