Changing oneself is like putting on a bad fitting overcoat. It may work for a while but, eventually, it chaffs and binds to the point that you HAVE to take it off. Then what? The person you have been with suddenly sees the REAL you and questions arise: Who ARE you? Why are you different now as opposed to when we met? Why did you do that? Are you so insecure that you felt the need to shift yourself for me? Are you not strong enough within yourself to 'just be you' right from the beginning'? etc...... what a MESS!\Best to be YOU, Honor yourself and Love yourself and let the tight person be attracted to YOU! A Minister I knew years ago said it well: "The person you are seeking is also seeking you!" But you've got to BE you for that attraction to be real!
Ecery experience in life is a chance for a change. Your way of thinking, your health, appearance, education, career, relationships... It shows you directions you can follow for the better. It is up to you if you think you are too good to change or you can have a better life if you do. There's no pressure in it, no going against the will. If you can understand it you can accept it.
Many people give up their bad habits for their love. And for this you must say 'thanks' to your lover that you could make good changes in yourself because of him/her.
Selenite: They say that someone can keep up a 'persona' of 'their best me' for about 90 days after wich the cracks start appearing irrespective of being with 'the right person' or not... Being 'the best version of yourself with the right person' sounds like a recipe for projecting blame on someone else if they don't remain stagnant in order to preserve the status quo... What happens when 'the right person now' gows and changes? No more 'best version of oneself'?
First of all, who is they and where do they say it?
Maybe the best version is overstating the point, but there are people who bring out my best nature and others that do not. My mood and my interactions shift accordingly. That's a fact. Projecting blame? Remaining stagnant? Please explain what the ef you're trying to say.
It depends on what kind of change, you talking about to..change as in what? either way I ain't doing neither, if you already love that person for who they are, why you want that person to change

Now how would you know that? You can only speak for yourself and not many men

Nobody is perfect, every person has some flaws. If because of someone our flaws are removed, then what is wrong in that?
It is about bringing good changes within yourself, not about changing others. Changing is the law of nature, we should always be ready for good changes. If a person brings good changes for you in himself, then you will be happy to see good changes in him.

Yes we all have flaws, but your topic said Can you change yourself for someone else, I said no now habits yes
Example, I don't wear makeup so if he say I want you to wear makeup, my answer would be no cause he trying to change me when I don't wear makeup and he knows it decent love you talking about a different change
Cranky_Geezer: I don't think it is possible to change your fundamental nature. However, I do believe you can be the best version of yourself with the right person.
