You have to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or else you'll lose yourself every time. Our emotions have the ability to influence everything in our lives. It can be a wonderful thing if balanced with being rational. But when our emotions run unchecked, it can lead to a lot of unexpected problems

There's a difference between trauma induced responces and 'emotions' ...You have to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or else you'll lose yourself every time. If you train your mind to be stronger than your trauma induced responses but do not deal with the trauma and heal it, it will become buried but will eventually resurface as a physical illness or condition.
I don't think the mind needs be stronger than our emotions. Though it needs to be trained to observe what is causing the emotional reactions and not BS itself with brainwashed cultural, religious or ancestral 'garbage'.
The mind is fine as long as you don't believe everthing it tells you. You can have quite a laugh having a chat with your own mind

How do you know that they're unexpected problems if you know problems are coming? Sounds expected to me. Rationalizing is just crafting mental BS to hide from truth and reality. Brain fartings.
Your heart is where it's at, emotions are great. Process them without blaming or attacking others for your emotions and you're good to go. Feel them, don't attach, process them, let them go.

if a woman tries too hard to control her emotions...she could become cold and distant...but if she lets them run wild...then crazy could prevail
