Wonderful Tiger 
As I work in the disability space, we are very much aware of the impact this time of the year has on the vulnerable people in our community and try to put as much preparation and support in place as we can, leading up to it.
Overall though, there will always be people who are isolated, fall through the gaps or choose not to engage and I think of them also

What does Christmas mean to me
A turkey and a Christmas tree?
Sadly it's a time of year
for many of us to shed a tear.
We look around and see the joy
for each and every girl and boy
Festive music and fairy lights
as we approach the special night.
But can we also feel the pain
Of those outside in freezing rain
Who have no family or home
and left unloved the streets to roam.
Some are sick and suffer much
Appreciate the gentle touch
Whilst others caught up in a war
would welcome a friendly open door.
So spare a thought as you get merry
Underneath the mistletoe berry
Not everyone will celebrate
this very special Christmas date.
So let's be kind and not belittle
those who really have so little.
