Yes you have so you do the maths.

Want to know why Richi Sunak wants to increase maths knowledge? There's your answer.]

Over the two years to the end of 2021, Brexit increased food prices by around six per cent overall. and we import much of our food.................. A war in Ukraine isn't helping and an increase in heat for cooking food ,fuel for transportation of products will also push up prices and while it continues so will price hikes and not just in the U.K. Simples.

Well, we're going to have to put more money aside for food and fuel at the expense of house prices, rent and people who work in telesales driving a Mercedes Benz. It's the latter three which consume the overwhelming share of wages, food had actually never been cheaper but it's about time our fake middle class country learns a sense of priority. You know what is a middle class value? Thrift. It is not paying through the roof for your stinking slums nor is it driving a Mercedes when you work in telesales.

And the reason we spend so much on housing and Mercedes for telesales is cheap and easy borrowing. And also not being able to do maths and to some extent the English language. Half the world speaks our language which may seem like a bonus but in reality it places all native English speakers at an intellectual disadvantage.

Tiger_Moth: Whatever the reasons ,and I didn't mention Russia in my post, it has bound to have an undesirable affect on the rest of the World. Wheat and sunflower oil are one of the top exports from the Ukraine which will have an affect on food production and costs.

The war in Ukraine has led to the largest commodity price shock since the 1973 oil crisis, according to a new World Bank report, elevating prices for years to come. Energy prices rose 448% in the year to March, while prices for food and fertiliser rose by 84% and 222%, respectively.

So of course it will create side effects
Ukraine still exports its sunflower oil and wheat.
But the reality is presented in a different way.
Russia exports most wheat but officially it's sanctioned.
The rest of sunflower oil and wheat exporters must have had a blast taking the opportunity to cover the emptied market.
Mmmm, don't think so.
There's plenty of sunflower and wheat and the prices are still falling due to overproduction.
As for the fuel other countries are in the top five, but yet there's a crisis.
No logic in all of that, only pure speculation....
Prices will go up because we won't stop buying.
The side effects are very welcomed for those who make the big bucks now.
Guess who they are?!

So you are saying that the invasion has had no effect on the World economy ,it's all the fault of bureaucracy.

The cost had already rocketed even before the invasion, but now vegetable oil goes for £1.30 a litre at the supermarket, up 23 p, or 22%, on a year ago. Sunflower oil – of which Ukraine and Russia are major producers – is up sharply too, by 17 p to £1.34 a litre, according to Nielsen IQ Scan track data.

The cost of fuel directly impacts farming expenses and the overall cost of the food supply from all directions. Few things are not effected by the rising fuel costs.

And the rising fuel costs are the result, for the most part, of government actions. Their is no shortage of natural resources. Nor is their a shortage of government stupidity.

Vegetable oil is very cheap if it is 1.30 pounds, so is the sunflower oil.
In most countries it was double and even triple that price.
Now the price of sunflower oil has dropped over 50% compared with what it was several months ago.
Yes, I am saying it is all a speculation as the export wasn't affected by the invasion as much as you were told.
Suddenly there's crisis, yeah, right.
And mind you, even America created its own price crisis even if it is one of the top 3 fuel producers and doesn't depend on Ukraine for anything.
Or may be we don't know something?!
And trust me you still pay a very cheap price for what you get.

Brexit is the main reason prices have shot up.
Taxes on imports , unfavourable trade deals etc .

It’s been on our news so much that the NHS is having trouble dealing with all the amount of people at a&e now in all our hospitals. People waiting 28 hours for a bed. I believe that’s because we are taking in too many extra people so our own people are suffering because of it. wine

And the majority of those people work for the NHS .
Don’t see many British whites working in hospitals nowadays.
