rohaan: I really like your answer--and there are so many variables. For instance, I knew a couple in Portland who were very nice, so it appeared. When they first met, she was amused and pleased by his jealousy. Later it became a wedge--things like that....do you know the one main and biggest thing couples (all) lose their patience and are frustrated with one another is? Finances.

Thanks for this perspective. You are of course right. I DO think it's rare. Like drug and alcohol rehabilitation (one of my primary focuses in practical nursing) the success rate is approximately 17%-------in a good year.
