In four separate instances between October 1987 and February 1988, small pink frogs rained down from the sky on to various parts of Great Britain. Scientists are still uncertain as to where these frogs originated, although some have traced them back to the Sahara desert.

The Colosseum in Rome was designed so that a floor could be put in, then flooded with water. mini navel battles were held. Loins were put on islands of which gladiators sometimes had to swim to so as not to drown, they then had to fight the loin to save their own life.

To provide lighting for the gory spectacle, Christians were dipped in tar, hung on wall spikes and lit on fire.
