1st Camaro - I went to work. Came out 8 hours later. Completely gone, with the exception of broken glass. Why they broke the window is beyond me. I could break into myself without busting the glass. I know because I locked my keys in it several times. Easiest car to break into. They never found it. Probably dismantled in a chop shop somewhere.
2nd Camaro - Stereos stolen 3 times. Someone attempted to hotwire it. Busted my steering column out. I knew how to disable it by then. A simple fuse. A cop had to show me how to start it as it wouldn't start with the key after that. First time I had a cop show me how to hotwire a car!!
My CRX - Just as easy to break into. 2 stolen stereos.
I used to work at a convience store and was robbed at gunpoint and shot at. It was around 11:30 p.m. I was getting ready to close and I saw a man go past the door then a second later two men came in with face covered hats(ones where the eyes and mouth are open) with a sawed off shotgun pointed at me. He took all the money from the cash register and when he left told me not to move. After a few minutes I went to turn and that is when the gun went off and the bullet came at me through the window. The cigerate stand stopped the bullet or it would have hit me at the back of my head. I went on the floor and stayed there until the phone rang to ask me if I had been robbed as the alarms were going off from the window beening broken. I was told to get up and lock the door(like I really wanted to try moving again). The police showed up a few minutes later.
Yeah, when I was fourteen I was jumped at gunpoint by the Piru Bloods for my Starter jacket.[/quote
i got one even better for you, i got off the bus one time when i was eighteen and got robbed at gunpoint for my smokes, how stupid is that, and at that time smokes were still 5 bucks a pack!!!!!! then when i gave him the smokes he thought is was neccessary to pistol whip me in the back of the head!!!! that sucked!!!
Yeah, once, in South Africa, I got a phone call from my son to say someone had broken into our house. Rushed home to find the place completely trashed .... every single draw, box, container, even my cosmetic purse had been imptied into heaps on the floor!
My gun-safe had been crowbarred off the wall from inside the cupboard (.22 pistol inside). Whoever it was had sat on a deckchair outside and tried to open it with an assortment of keys they found ... but the safe was still lying there on the grass, with gun safe inside!
I had stashed my complete salary money behind a loose brick on top of an unfinished wall inside the clothes cupboard - intending to bank it the next day - they missed it!
Even the fridge contents were strewn around amongst the clothing - meat had been put in the microwave but they obviously could not figure out how to open the door again!
So, actually, after the police had been, and we took stock of what was stolen ..............! A bottle of Olive Oil, my cigarette rolling papers! an old shoulder bag!!
They missed my new bottle of Este Lauder perfume, my months supply of tobacco, my wages, a mobile phone...!? .. and also 250 rounds of .22 ammunition!
They broke plenty of drinking glasses when they smashed the kitchen window to get in.
All in all - not a "bad" robbery.
The most annoying was once having all my bed-linen hooked out the window!
