I am baffled that unleaded is going for $3.05 per gallon around Oklahoma and Diesel is $4.00... how is this justified???

Most trucks fill up with 250 to 300 gallons DAILY if they run over the road (long distance). Is it any wonder the Petroleum companies are showing record Profits? This should NOT BE!!! very mad

Until they are motivated against their will to change the energy dynamic, they will continue to supress competing technology. Free energy is just that, free. They will be dragged, kicking and screaming, into this new economy of abundance, because, in that brave new world, nobody profits anymore than any other. That is just unacceptable to certain mindsets, who feel entitled to more than their fair share of infinity. frustrated frustrated frustrated

Galactic_bodhi: Currently, gasoline is $3.35/gallon here where I am? What about the rest of the world?

Please, if you're international, as a favor for us mathematically challenged Americans, convert your answers into pathetic, measley dollars for us, please...

Here the price is around 9.82 dollers for a gallon or around 47.34 danish kroners....10.52 kroners for a liter! So still you are doing much better over there! One Gallon, 4.50 liters!

Speculations and instability because of wars might be the main reason a bout these prices and nothing else!

Some people just making Huge amounts of money when these kind of prices making our daily living more difficult and all other prices to rise dramatichally as well.........

Let's see...I filled up yesterday in Redding at an Arco & it was $3.51 for the low grade. This morning when I drove through town (Cottonwood) it's $3.38 at one of the cut rate stations. Last week Chevron was actually lower than the cut rate...lol

I get about 19-20 mpg. Would love to have a hybrid, but can't afford the payments.

I think it is pretty bad that the Oil companies made 358 BILLION DOllars in Profit when the cost of making a living and getting to and from has gone throught the roof.
The prices of every thing have jumped so high that those who are forced to live on a fixed income have to pick and choose what to do and what is more important getting to a Dr apt or getting food.
No one has tried to explaine away the profit nad why they should make such a killing at the worlds expense. We all suffer in the long run nad no one has come up with a way to solve it.
We have oil reserves and we new methods of producing fule that has not made a big impact on the world. The world leaders need to focus on getting this solved. When the people in Venezuela are paying a whopping .14 cents a gallon some thing is real wrong!
Here in Pensacola Fl we pay between $ 3.30 to 3.89 a gallon. I'll bet BUSH doesn't worry about if he can pay for his gas !

well, my vehicle uses diesel, and diesel per liter is 1.12euro here in Belgium ( prices varies tho, depending on the filling stations)

Therefore:

1.12 euro = 1.77$ per liter
1 liter = 0.265 gallon (US)
