I drive a minivan, when it's not having issues, and it's a 22 gallon tank. Takes almost 80 dollars to fill my tank. It's too bad I'm in college and can't afford it, ha. So hard to have a job and pay for gas that costs this much, half of what I make goes in my tank. Come on science, think of something practical!

I think I can give you some good advice. First, it would pay you to unload that minivan for a small car that gets better milage. Failing that, you should make a concerted effort to get some of the kids at school to car pool with you. Even 1 other person will cut your fuel costs in HALF! If you can get 3 people it would be like paying a dollar a gallon for fuel. That's called turning a deficit into an asset.
Next, read my post on saving fuel.

Steep.I blame the federal reserve board for printing us into hyperinflation.

I suggest to change filters and do a tune up ,finish up with fresh oil change.
