I'd guess that what seems 'high maintenance' to one man is a real joy to another man? I would guess it's about compatibility - if together with the wrong person, everything she asks for would be an insurmountable task? And if together with the right person, it would be easy to please her and give her just what she needs?

Loyalty and honesty are a Must in every relationship I think.
High maintenance in a woman could mean too that your life has to completely center around hers 24/7 which is a big turn off and very demanding on every man.Been there ,done that.
