I can't descibe exactly what I feel qualifies a woman as high maintenance...but I know it when I see their pictures and read their profiles. I avoid them and their threads.
Lines like ...I deserve the best and won't settle, tells me they have a very high opinion of themselves, that I would probably not agree with.
Vanity is the route cause here methinks.. the vanity of the women.. thinking they are all that!! and the vanity of men willing to put up with being treated like crap so they can have a beautiful person on their arm
Aries, this is one of the few times that I agree with you...

JMO...of course
I don't agree with that statement...why????
Because everybody deserves the best....it's not about having a high opinion of oneself or perfection...It's about having the love you deserve to have....and not settling for someone who treats you like crap just to have someone in your life!!!!!!!!!!
PeachesandRay: I see a post several pages back and had to check her profile. Let's just say that what she posted in this thread did not match with the way she described herself. If there were to be a picture in the dictionary for a high maintenance woman, hers would be there.
I won't say who Earl
I don't know to whom you are referring, but I would say that because a woman is great looking, takes care of herself, has a sense of style, etc., that doesn't make her 'high maintenance.' I think high maintenance is, and my thoughts are largely based on the responses in this tread, about someone who is overly concerned with as spends a excessive time and money on grooming, clothing, shopping, etc., someone who is extravagant (generally with her man's pocketbook), expects a lot of attention, and expects to have her own way about most things. Jumping to a conclusion about someone based on a picture on an internet profile seems to be making too much of a leap.

I do agree with you on this Portiea. This is what I think is a high maintenance woman.
High maintenance women would hang out at the ballparks when I played baseball in the minors. It was like they were only interested in me because they liked the idea that I may be a millionaire one day. Funny how it was so easy to hook up with them when I was a ball player. All they saw was money and fame.
Anyways, I'll say it again, Los Angeles is saturated with high maintenance women. Unbelievable.

That's kind of what Robert - rwantin - says too, about So Cali. Must be hard to live with all the fake people.

I wasn't jumping to any conclusions. My observation was based on what was said in the profile.
<<<<<<<<<<<<Very low maintanance woman. Wayyyyy past child bearing and menopause, so there's no estrogen supplements or PMSing here. I do my own hair and nails......no waxing needed (at my agre it's either turned grey or fallen out!) Too old for the nip, tucks and implants.......nothin a good pair of tight jeans and a waterbra can't hide! As far as spa days go.....I save lots of money......I just take a hot shower and then dip myself in the 55 gallon drum of Bondo I have in my garage.

No, i don't do this every week. Hahah.
Does this make me high maintenance when i have no kids to take care of, and using my own money?
