I had Thyroid cancer in 2002, so they sucked it out of my neck with a shop vac. Now I don't have a thyroid and I take a pill everyday for the rest of my life

I am sorry to hear that...

What would happen if you missed taking the medication for a few days?

a couple of days...no big deal
a week or more....well kind of like how grizzly bears get really really sleepy when it gets cold out.

I recently got my dosage corrected. Before that I went over a year with very low metabolism. My hair and skin was dry and scaly, I could literaly sleep forever, and my body temperature dropped to 95 degrees.
I'm doing better now

How often do you, or did you have attacks?

I haven't had one for about 4 years now.

2 years now. I got the medication right and conditioning. Getting older helps too.

Not that long ago I'd get them in one form or another once a week. I still get bouts of Agoraphobia.

DaisyChick: Grrrrr...
I was diagnosed with Shingles today!! And NO it is not from an std like some people think! I told a few people that and was pissed when they said that.
Basically if you have had the chicken pox you can get it. It's like chicken pox but the rash is way worse and it attacks your nerves so you have severe pain everywhere.
I am absolutely friggin miserable. I have a high pain tolerence too!
It lasts about 5 weeks!
To top it all off I am contagious, anyone who hasn't had chicken pox can get it from me so I am holed up in my room itching like crazy.

WHEW I feel better thanks for the thread, allowed me to vent

I'm bored if anyone wants to chat send me some mail!

Sorry to hear about you all too

Oh, bless your heart!!! I have huge problems resulting in a very high pain tolerance, but I was in bed for a week with shingles!!
