shipoker55: I have read a lot of profiles again and again....not because I ma all that interested in them, but because my feeble brain can't remember them from one day to the next!!
I have my who's viewed me turned off. I don't want to know who thought I might be interesting, then changed their mind after knowing a little about me!!

A lot has been said, written about, talked about, the age old topic. I have also read the very deep and meaningful book "He's just not that into you". However, this is the modern age of the internet, online discussions, etc. Right? So. How do you know? How do you know whether he/she is "into you" ? (no, not THAT kind of into you!!! ).
Would love to know your opinion and what has happened online with you
He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not...........
Ive been meaning to read this book for ages - I must get a copy
Possibly we know when it seems that the only effort going into the relationship is totally one sided
venere08: I guess at that point, you might want to 'dip your toes in the water' as it were. A short, brief hi, how are you note, or a flower, and wait for the response
I send flowers in all directions, when I am in the mood. All but for one I REALLY wanted a reply for have been answered.
Note A If you read this and have received a flower from me recently, I was polite and in a good mood. It was not a proposal
Note B If you read this and have received a flower from me recently, but did not reply, I was not just polite and in a good mood. It was the beginning of a proposal

bob1959: That's tough to explain. I'd love to bowl her right over with a wonderfull letter (which I am capable of writing) but as claayer haas pointed out, unlikely to have the desired effect. That mindset works well at my work. If I remodeled your kitchen, you'd want to kiss ne full on the lips when I was done, but we're not talking building here, so I'm utterly lost.
But Bob, don't you start small, I mean a little idea then build on it? Not every kitchen nees to be handled withthe wrecking ball to renovate. Some just need a slight touch that builds into more then more. A good, solid relationship is like that.
It took a while to read through this thread - great and fun reading.
For Bob, I just know he will get caught be an awesome lady anytime soon; he is to good to stay in the single corner.
But the problem with online, and the fascination too, is that we do not have the ordinary signals to go for.
Friendly flirting, even aggressive such are coutume and accepted here. For me, the step to really show interest would be to say this with plain words in a short message (not a flower).
Not baked into a fluffy cake of words or hints or flirts out here in the open. If she play the game of "¿que?" I send one more, similar and stating I am serious to avoid misunderstanding. If I do not get a "aha" back then I am back to friendly square.
How I know she is interested? I have no idea Have not been there yet.
In my experience on the forums, you can tell when someone is 'engaging' with you more often, and the little things they say ( even if they flirt with everyone . then it leads to a flower- and then an email.....etc etc. i'm not saying that it's love, just the start, that you get online. I had to wait 2 weeks of emailing ,calls etc, for my first date from here, and I thought i was going to die from anticipation!! patience at work......150%

I think you should go for it bob, you might be surprised at the reaction
as all is fair in LOVE and WAR (so to speak)
faint heart never won fair lady (as the English say)
