Raymond1953: It's a very intense emotional pain.
Feelings of overwhelming dread.
An emptiness that's impossible to discribe.
It's a big black hole..the abyss

have you felt this badly before?

There's always people who care about you. You just have to find them sometimes. They may be waiting for you just as much as you're waiting for them and if both of you are not actively trying to find each other, then you will never find each other right? Yes, as others have said, don't be scared to talk to everyone here. We all love making new friends and we are there for each other because we know that when we all put our differences aside, we all have hearts that need to feel love, we all have bodies that need to be touched, and we all need someone to talk to. Even sometimes in the wee hours of the morning.

With that being said, do not give up. I have gone through ALOT in my life and I could tell stories that would make some people cry and I have had people ask, how can you be so emotionally and mentally stable after all that and I tell them, because no matter what, I know I deserve better. I know I'm a good person. I am sure you know you are a good person as well. Just remember, you deserve so much more then what you are allowing yourself to have and feel right now. There is a reason why there is always a rainbow after the storm. very happy comfort

Creative people feel every ounce of joy and pain very deeply, so they react more suddenly and sometimes rashly. But it is because your feelings guide you. Not logic, which doesn't always help anyways.

Talk to everyone. Not just us but everyone. getting it out and being heard will help, maybe even releave some pressure. And NEVER give up on music, because music will NEVER give up on you. Where there is life, there is music.

Raymond1953: I've been dealing with depression issues for most of my life but it seems to be getting worse with each day regardless of medication and therapy.
I have no real friends to speak of.
That is, the kind of friends that will be there when I go through these really dark horrible times.
I'm always trying to fight back this feeling like I want to end it all.
I'm really scared and extremely lonely.

Hey dude! wave I'm around alot. Pop in and out. Anytime you want to talk - about anything - I'm around. No need to feel alone when you have a computer. You can always reach out and touch all of us. Plenty of people here to help get you thru the bad times!

I'm the most unselfish person you'll ever meet.
One of my biggest faults is overextending myself and doing for others
before doing for myself.
I know I should stand up more for myself, but I'm always trying to get people to like me.
The low self esteem I have stems from my mother who scared and threatened to kill me all my years as a child growing up.
I was still terrified of her as she lay on her deathbed.
So now she's dead, and here I am hoping she's burning in hell.
Does that make me a bad son?

Forgive her!

You can not live for others, only for yourself. And when you do that, can you truely shake the gloom away, because you will be your true self.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi Raymond, Not at all a bad son. Allow yourself to be as openly angry as you want. Go off somewhere and shout at the top of your lungs if that helps. You've heard of the saying, You can't pick your family'? Well, you just happened to be connected through biological means. Trying to get people to like wastes a lot of energy, because you may be trying to be all things to all people. That in itself will make you feel pretty exhausted.

You are getting some terrific advice from other CS's, so stay on the forums.

I'd like to suggest you look up (let me know if I have made a mistake and will look it up for you). Sometimes, we have to act more directly on the brain. They sell this software which is fabulous. It is Brain Wave Entrainment. You can buy online and download straight away. I have the 'professional' version so I can modify for my clients. YOu will neea set of really good noise reduction stereoheadphones, and you can buy 'Sennheiser' from them. Then play around with it. The particular protocal to use is the 'Depression' (SAD), which is great to stabilise moods. Email me if you like once you get hold of it if you decide to do that. No side effects, though not good if you have seizures, or history of it, have pacemaker or pregnant(I assume latter 2 are out, lol). All the best.thumbs up
