That is because Obama knew that it was best for him to keep his mouth shut about it. By not bashing McCain VP it enables possible surfacing of a new kind of respect for him surprising everyone that he is not that juvenile or low of a person. He's using it as strategic step to gain more votes later.

I don't buy that excuse.....Parents can try to wash they're hands of responsibility for the teenagers f**k-ups, but it's not going to work. The parents ARE responsible.

For the record, I agree with a friend of mine that the whole daughter angle is a bad one, and should rightfully be off limits, despite the fact that if the situation were reversed, I doubt the GOP would be quiet about it.
