hollandgirl: Not really stood up for a date. Men who first seem interested but then just stop communicating, leaving you to wonder, why? They don't tell you why so...............? Something I would do if visa versa. NEXT!:
I go one step forward: We started conversation by phone, too. That “relationship” seems to me very nice, it seems to have a good direction.
And then he just stop communicating, living me to wonder, WHY???

Don't waste your time trying to figure it out - its his loss.
It's been an odd mix. While I've, thankfully, never been stood up from someone on site's like this, I have had a few last-minute cancellations with people I fully expected to see but on the other end I've wound up having people I made the mistake of assuming were fickle wind up driving from another city to meet up with me. Just one of those things that you can't predict. To avoid, or at least lessen, the pain I have the advice of don't put your eggs in one basket, at least not at first. When you two do meet up and if there's chemistry, that's when I start putting more into the relationship, not after exchanging one or two e-mails.
I haven't been stood up as such (thankfully) but i did go on a date with a woman (not someone i met online) and she went to the bathroom and never came back. I thought she might have fallen in until i saw her wearing the face off another guy about an hour later in another bar. I've also gone on dates and they never returned my calls after that but i guess you meet people like that sometimes
"HAS ANYONE BEEN STOOD UP BY SOMEONE ON THIS SITE"
Only in a manner of speaking - Out of an estimated 25-30 folks who told us they planned on attending our CS picnic in August, only 6 of us showed up. Granted, a couple had genuine last minute problems, but still, we'd ordered food for 35. (We're still eating Buddy's Barbecue! )

Sounds like Thanksgiving, lol. Does anybody ever actually eat the cranberry sauce?
Kazzy16: I have. Last Saturday night by a certain somebody from Drogheda
Well. I have just joined purely out of boredom and I will let you know. Your pretty and if you all had photos what's the deal? gen tho I reckon I'm gonna meet my guy in the local sauna or at the coffee store or maybe on the beach - the plus here is that when I see him - seriously, I will ask him or y'know make a seductive move. It's worked before and it's best I know and feel. Besides most men where I live cannot put a sentance together!
yeah i got dumped.. just like that .. no warning.. no .. real explanation.. just.. one email out of the blue. He wants a REAL relationship not an online one. So .. i let him go ..
adn we only knew each other for a month - the next thing to do would be to meet - but he didnt even want to go that far - so he didnt want to take it out of the internet . Go figure. I said ok.

I would have enjoyed having dinner with a few of them, before the abduction.
