no1brightongirl: lagoona you look great for your age and whats wrong with 55 eh?trust you to look at this through sensible eyes, romance is good, but being realistic is important too,i just feel that if a person does this they are in a vulnerable position,if you are 20 and you do something on the spur of the moment, often mum and dad take you back if it goes wrong, when you are older, over 40,its not that easy.morgans situation didnt work, dont know har far she went, when she moved to another country

Hey... he knows he got the looks. I was talking attitude towards risk and adventure here, where experience tend to teach us to be cautious with things.

And face it. 55. That is not showing age (I hope not, I am going there soon enough).

But I just have to throw an egg now and then that general direction, no one else does. He's a good catcher though laugh

BrightonGirl, thanks for the compliment, I would return it, but you're already taken...:-)

Apropos the thread theme, it's an interesting one....it deals with the concepts of courage, bravado on one hand, caution, and sensibility on the other...I heard recently of a woman here in the UK, who took early retirement, moved to Malta, bought a huge villa, brought her household and pets down, only to find that within six months, she hated the place because she couldn't walk her dogs as she used to in London, and so put her property on the market again, sold up and moved right back from whence she had come....

In terms of love and online dating...any of us who have been here longer than 5 minutes understand that falling in love online is utter fantasy, a whim, and has nothing to do with falling in love for real. Caution is advised. On the one hand we all love the idea of being courageous and plunging in, especially where love is involved, but people can change their minds in an instant...I think it's never a good idea to burn your bridges, always good strategy to have a back-up plan if things don't work out quite like you planned them...

Nah, man, its just up the road ...........I`m pretty sure there`s no oceans between us? Isn`t it part of the huge land mass commonly referred to as "europe"? Even Russia is somewhere on this land mass known as Europe, far as I know.....but then I can`t be expected to know Everything!cheers
