TheresMyFriend: This is what I was referring to in my earlier post..."that the amount it would take to make me happy, would depend on what it would take to make others happy." Very good post
Money can't buy happiness, but most rich people are successful and that makes them happier than people who have been losers all their lives.......... it's a myth that being poor is wonderful.
I've been miserable and poor and miserable and rich - I prefer the miserable and rich to going cold and hungry and having that awful feeling that I am trapped by my poverty and can't afford a bus ride let alone the ability to book a flight at a moment's notice.
The best is to feel good about yourself........ being in some way successful is going to make you feel good - and then, as a by-product of your success, you'll be 'rich' - right?

No, seriously, I have mixed with the extremely rich and somewhat famous over the years and the lifestyle that goes with it is NOT for me, to be frank. I don't need a lavish lifestyle, just enough that I don't have a seizure every time a bill comes through would be fine and dandy with me, thanks!

Same here.....I don't want a billionaire lifestyle and have to employ security guards and have no privacy - as a kid I hated being surrounded by servants...... just enough money to pay the bills and have regular holidays and take care of inflation is fine by me too!

Yes we need money because we need it in our daily life to supports our needs day by day.but we cant buy happiness, but for te materialistic person ,who want to live life very easy, doesnt want to work hard and not satisfied what they have then maybe they can buy and sales there happiness.
Just enough to be comfortably living. Ya know, food etc. so you aren't hungry, or without a roof over your head, or heat or something. But generally money doesn't buy happiness. I had a phase I was very unhappy and I spent so much money on myself buying whatever I wanted; movies and stuff...didn't make me happy if anything it just fustrated me that it didn't work!
