Never too late
When the day is complete and the eve's on its way,
Darkness falls on the earth, chill is felt in the air,
Things are done, jobs completed, house cleaned, kitchen scrubbed,
Nothing other remains but to sit and relax.
Then I'm not in a haste to get up, turn TV,
I am waiting for time when my memories will seep,
Creeping slowly to me, keeping time, one by one,
They remind me of time when it used to be fine.
No regrets, bitter stuff, no such feelings as that,
It is never too late, they repeat as refrain,
It is never too late to begin life again
And to mend broken heart it is never too late.
And you still have a chance to regain shattered love,
And it's still very early to lie down and die.

About this poem:
I just wanted to keep on with my fellow poet Mike7375. First I decided to write a comment then it grew into a poem. Thanks to Mike for giving inspiration I needed so much.

nicely written
I understand how Mike inspires you...he does that to many...and I like the poem so much. We all have down times, it allows us to appreciate the highs and I truly hope you are ready to move forward...stringer than before....
