Like a baby rabbit she smiled quite timidly. He tried to hide his feelings as he helped her lift the boxes. They stocked the shelves in white noise silence and he often stole a look. He was quite enthralled with this lovely girl. He could probably write a book. The words he left unspoken as small talk took its place. Then one morning she disappeared it seemed without a trace Her face became a stencil that became chiseled in his brain. Her voice became a songbird that had a sweet refrain He often thought about her and why she had left He also questioned waiting, why he’d been so daft He was left with one lonely solitude...he’d oft repeat her name.
