Lost seed - lost life
A seed fell in soil, which was fertile and wet,
And stayed there happy, contented, in wait,
And it burst and it grew, and it started to rise,
In full swing did it rise to where there was light,
Where t’was destined to live with the plants of its kind,
Where t’was to bear its fruit, fade and die,
But soil gripped it tight, t'was to perish in dark,
To be killed by its longings, to dry up in a drought.

About this poem:
Was rummaging in my old poetry. Seems to be a philosophic one, with connotations, maybe even worth reading, who knows?!

But soil gripped it tight, t'was to perish in dark cannot be said about this poem nor the poet who brought to our light! Thank you for sharing it with us!
