Twisted Fairy Tale

Into woods so dark strode she
With thick cloak wrapped around her
Heavy laden basket in left hand
Goodies to take to Grandma

Eerie noises in this wood
Creaks, groans and branches breaking
Pitter, patter and scurrying sounds
Unseen animals quickly running

Remembered she of stories told
Of mean and nasty creatures
Feast on flesh of human kind
Given the slightest chances

Behind a tree she saw a shape
Of animal there hiding
Ready to pounce and devour her
And leave naught a scrap behind there

Ready she was with brave of heart
To defend her life and honour
When beast came out attacking her
The shotgun blew it backwards

The moral here is plain to see
For anyone that's looking
Take care it's the right fairy tale
And always read the ending
