A Terror For The Chickens

There it was such a lovely day
Warm, with gentle breeze blowing
Trees swaying to the music of life
And sun getting ready to kiss the horizon

Sitting back enjoying a stein of beer
When I see a fox running across the paddock
Chased by none other than my son's cat
Am I seeing things, maybe too much beer

Stephanie yells, did you see that dad
That fox is running scared from Dezi
Well blow me down, wasn't the beer
That made me see what I had seen

Now I must admit that I am stumped
As to what to call their offspring
Is it going to be a foxy cat
Or maybe it's going to be a catty fox

But whatever it is one thing I'm sure
It's going to be a terror for the chickens
