Here’s to You, Love!

Here’s toast to love, which is so great,
So overwhelming that you only question
Where it comes from, out of what place
Pounds blood sustaining your devotion!

Here’s toast to love for friend – it’s as unique
As only by a truly dedicated friend is given.
Hold onto it and cherish till you're old and meek,
Betrayal of such love can never be forgiven.

Here’s toast to love of other kind,
Which parents are capable of feeling
For offspring - selfless, often selfish one,
By mother nature it is freely given.

Here’s toast to yet another love
Of greater scale – we feel it all the same,
A love like pain that you of all mankind
Take more acutely when you’re far away.

Thus drinking quietly at home me and my friends
Couldn’t find a better toast than that to motherland.
