Self defence

They say I’m a drunkard
But I don’t agree
For self defence I drink

For if I don’t drink
My head it hurts
And noises are so painful

I’ve been told what this is
Hangover they call it
The curse of the drinking man

So as long as I drink
And drunk I stay
This fate I’ll be avoiding

So rack them up
I’ll have some more
You can keep being sober

Oh God, how those noises hurt the head! You are a beautiful spirit, Steve. I love your poem. It speaks truth and humility. Thank you for sharing yourself, my sweet, sweet friend! teddybear bouquet daisy rose
