Apologise
Too late now to apologise,
you took on their words instead,
it was not me who said those stories or told the lies,
you let your emotions rule your head,
You broke it all off and ran,
been a long time since I took your call,
left me with broken dreams, holding the can,
now you want to try again, as I think and stall,
Oh Yes I dearly remember your scent and smell,
what about now, what about today you say,
my resolve is weakening I know you can tell,
your saying things was never meant that way,
If I accept this your apology,
will I really feel the same way again,
do I thank my lucky stars or study the astrology,
could I really live through another bout of pain,
Please give me time and let me think,
your now telling me you will always be true,
feelings and emotions seems am skating in the rink,
remember I say it was not me who left, it was you,
You tell me, I am sorry, I apologise,
my heart is trying to rule my head,
could this be truth or more lies,
what if it happens again will you choose them instead,
Too late now to apologise, I sigh,
the sound of your tears and sobs echo in the hall,
thanks for your call but I must really say Goodbye,
I remembered too well how you broke my heart, I recall.

About this poem:
If you got that second chance...would you? Sometimes relationships become stronger from such a break but in reality it is not always so.

Second chances? Although accepting an apology does not necessarily mean one gives another a second chance, when both people want the same thing and are committed to it giving it a try, who knows what could happen. Thanks for sharing the complexities of relationships poetically expressed in Apologise.
If she did it once she'll do it again!!!!!
