My Saviour
Rhoda a name depicting a rose,
could they be the solace for me,
from small seeds a flower grows,
whispering words of what might be,
Sometimes fate plays its hand,
troublesome mind that needs a rest,
and from the ashes a man might stand,
could this be another test,
She said my words had depth and feeling,
my heart still scarred from the pain,
she read them and held the meaning,
mind in motion like wheels on a train,
Look to the future, and try to address,
so much heartache, lots of strain,
my heart is free, am not here to impress,
push back the hurt and look to the gain,
Music she says can help your goal,
beating heart, striving in my chest,
it will help unravel your soul,
a symphony explodes and comes to rest,
I cry out, "who are you",
just a shoulder, for you to rely on,
feeling the lightness, rising in my heart too,
you have a right to grow, just as my son,
More words to temper my soul,
be still she said, and let your heart rest,
could this be the one to make me whole,
once you are settled you will feel your best,
She offered to befriend me in the book,
My mind haltered, am I on the rebound,
I viewed her profile and glad of the look,
we now share views and all is sound,
This friend of mine is now so dear,
we take each day as it comes, she said,
words of comfort and all is clear,
so now we talk and carefully tread,
Could this my saviour be,
She smiles and chat,
let us hope that it is, we will wait and see,
For now we will leave it at that.

About this poem:
I wrote this poem for someone special in my life at the time I was at my lowest ebb they befriended me and made me realise that life has more to it than just a lost love. They are no longer on CS and our friendship has been lost for I became to embroiled in my own world and lost contact, I was never going to publish it without their permission because in my mind it belonged to them and still does but she gave me so much hope that I feel all should now see.
