Who is this nymph?

Who is this nymph?

My back was turned towards her,

Some instinct told me to turn,

As I turned, I saw her,

Who is this nymph?

Her playful smile danced across the air and kissed me,

It was as if a gentle ray from the sun touched my cheek and warmed it,

Her eyes were pools of laughter,

The message they sent me was, ‘I’m so glad to see you.”

Who is this nymph?

Her red hair was ablaze with the sun’s glory,

As it shone behind her,

She was not running towards me,

No, she wafted, light-footed into my arms,

Who is this nymph?

She threw her arms around me,

And planted a sensual kiss on my stunned lips,

Is this the friend I was meeting?

Or some nymph sent by the gods to tease me?

Who is this nymph?

About this poem:
A delightful Houston, interlude. It was great while it lasted, I let her go though, the call of Africa was too strong in those days...
C'est la vie...
