my dad to my mom

as far as I know, this is the only poem my dad's ever written 1 year ago, at age 76

About this poem:

This appeared on a small piece of paper on the refrigerator a year ago, sometime after I'd shown my parents some poems my husband had written me.
I've typed exactly as he wrote it to my mom(leaving out their full names)

To my dad & mom-still married 52 years
(and would prob. want to throttle me if they knew I posted- however, they don't have a pc & don't intend to get one-lol... and would likely get over their shyness after seeing the kind people here anyway)

Yes, I'm very blessed - and my dad's example has been a great one for my brother(11 mos. younger than me) to follow.

(Even though I see it in their lives, it esp. shows, I think, on that small piece of paper written just for her -I'm sure he didn't figure she'd put it on the frig.

As for '...wasting the oil'- makes me just wanna give you a great, big

. And I have a true story that might just top that...lol

I have a friend whose divorced parents both came to her wedding... and got in a fistfight! But she's managed to overcome and has raised a wonderful family.
