My head on heavenly gossamer pillows to lay such exquisite rest so blissful, so deep as my mind reflects back on events of the day~
On a Cosmogyral journey escorted by the lightest of Aeolian wings
passing through shimmerous Nacreous rainbows to hear, so delicately played it's Psithurism-like sounds.
Transported through unimaginable beauty, the likes of which nature's majesties not ever seen nor found.
And now as I'm falling nigh unto sleep off to another destination, that of dream state.
Perhaps to this sleep a Reminiscence will enter and while sleeping will bring yet another...
Reminiscence of a much different kind when upon awaking I shall find-
My Creator smiling, there gracing my countenance shall be- all the way through into my heart and my soul... welling up Reverent feelings, Ataraxia untold.......

About this poem:
For Paloma-(challenge) What a destination!
Cosmogyral=of the cosmos - Aeolian=musical sound of winds passing through - Nacreous=w/lustre; iridescent Psithurism=sound of the winds through trees & rustling leaves Reminiscence 1=recalling a past experience Reminiscence 2=mind having seen things in a previous dis-embodied life* *poetic license taken(scrapped words 'previous' and 'life'- and changed to mean 'future' and 'experience')=*mind having seen things in a future experience... Ataraxia=peace of mind, tranquility, calmness, serenity

Hi Scatlyn,
Well done. The good thing about challenges is that we all write using common words but all put a different narrative together and also appreciate the difficulties involved. What a marvelous piece this is.

I agree with Rob it is a great write.

Hello Mrs. Poet! I'm impressed but not surprised with what beauty and eloquence you have penned this lovely piece. Your heart stirrings have emerged in the beautiful context of words. May the force be with you. Cafe

Thanks so much, MacDuff, for that wonderful comment - hadn't expected it at all! So glad you're back... and what a wonderful surprise to see you here on my poem
Yes, you're right about the challenges - very interesting the different versions (mine seem to be far off-the-wall from others most of the time). But I have to say, I'm starting to really like a few of the new words I learned in this one... I think esp. 'Ataraxia' 'Cosmogyral' 'Aeolian' (would like the other 'sound' one except I can't remember how to pronounce it every time I see it- the ps one )
Hi Catlyn, a beautiful write my Friend. The Soul upon Its gossamer journey. A softly painted vision you lay before us, touching gently Into the heart. Your words bring peace to the heart and lighten the Soul. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend always....MIKE.

Aww... dear Paloma, Thank you so much! I tried to make a little clearer than the first time. I've noticed that, sometimes even when writing a letter -a person, or at least me, anyway, may not realize part of what they've written may not make sense to the reader if they take for granted thoughts in their mind that the reader has no way of knowing about(and I sometimes don't catch something for days- sometimes even on other's poems- I'll realize later they meant something a little, or sometimes a lot different than how I took it)
Thanks again & congrats on getting MacDuff back here!! Lyn

Awww.... dear Cafe Jim, Always a support... thank you so much for all your support & commenting. I truly feel I can only be called Mrs. Poet b/c I'm the wife of Mr. Poet. I can't begin to write like all you here at PC. I love to read & make comments, and I'll write something if it comes to me and if it happens to seem to make a poem. When I saw this challenge - the idea sounded fun. But I don't purposely do them- just something is started by them in my head... and I start writing it down(usually need a magnifying glass to even read what I wrote). In this case, I just wanted to see what all those words meant. Then for some reason... ideas.... see what I mean - I'm not poetically eloquent enough to even explain it.
So I'll cut right to the chase- thanks a million, Cafe Jim!!!

Great write Scatlyn. You transported me with that vision so succinctly from the very start to the finish. Very eloquently crafted.
Well done, your best to date in my mind and challenges are hard when you have to use the discipline of someone else's words. Rob

Hi fugitive! Thanks so much for reading and commenting... I'm wondering if you're referring to writer Charles Eliot Norton or....(not sure ), but I looked at your profile to get a closer look at that book, b/c the caption on your pic made me curious. And I noticed the forward was by Evelyn Waugh(I recently learned quite a bit about him, as I had to take a knowledge of life in UK test for my permanent residence app. here). I know it's not for Norton anti-virus(is it?)...
Anyway, I'm thrilled you dropped by and thank you for the wonderful comment!!!

p.s.Fugitive - Please pardon my literary ignorance, I think I've got it: Norton as in a place- a very nice place maybe?
Anyway, gotta run(literally- jog into town b/f they close shop).. the idea just hit me(figuratively, of course ) on my way out!
