Remember the trojan horse (s/c)

Free yet imprisoned
seeing but blind
senses are active
in a busy mind.

Road is so clear
judgement is good
everything ordered
finely chopped wood.

Wits are as razor
knowledge is keen
nothing gets past us
or even between.

Yet no one can see
the invisible field
that holds hidden danger
where lives we yield

All is as safe
so it appears
but the wooden horse
is soon to appear.

Troy was to fall
by deception and flair
and whirling about
deceptions still here

All is not as
it appears to be
hidden things live
if only to see.

All things created
speak of a design
a hand in the making
a person divine.

All senses and reason
decry this it's true,
but why are we here
still echoes in you.....

Thank you so much for reading and commenting, Mike! I was at CS in 2010, but didn't visit PC much til 2011, when my husband wrote most of his poetry(he'd been at CS since about 2007.)

I guess b/c he hadn't written in so long, he had a lot to write(he wrote over 500 poems here in that year

) For him it's much easier writing using a pc than a pencil.

We were married in 2012- I would drop by a little in 2013, and more this year, esp. starting in spring. I've only discovered your poetry in the last couple weeks & really enjoy your writing. I'm sure my husband would be a frequent visitor to your poems if he was on here. (I managed to show him the one with the Vietnam Memorial wall, and I think, one of your haikus.)
