Awareness

Powers that be never give up
Or forget how to put you down
Drowning you in their oppression
Fills the car full of clowns
When every time you speak
They try to shut you up
Because they think you’re weak
But yea you know you’re strong
So stand up and be counted
Let your voice be heard
Even if it has to be shouted
Which is really not absurd
Don’t hide away your feelings
Or ever let your spirit die
Don’t ever lower ceilings
And make it harder to breath
Just in order to survive
We’ll watch out for each other
Being nice is only a disguise
Stemming from an inferiority
Such an awkward awareness
Will not always look so beguile
Lessons learned in fairness
Never goes out of style
