It's totally amazing
That something they never gave much thought to~
Could really happen.

From different corners of the globe~
They never gave much thought to probe
The possibility of finding a mate~
Never expecting much more than a date.

Added together their ages are great,
So they show only feelings of love~
Not of hate.

In total they have one hundred and fifty eight years,
Yet there's plenty of time for laughter and tears.

They've been granted a new lease on life~
One filled with joy~
And not too much strife.

It's only been two years now~
But she can't even remember how~
She lived all these years~
Survived all those fears~

Alone,
By herself,
Without him.
