INDIVIDUALLY SUPREME.....
Surrounded by chatter, in a cocoon you stay
Voices pass you by, you've nothing to say
Subjects so varied, discussed one by one
In your own little world, is where you belong
I remember train rides, when in my teens
Travelling to work, past scenery unseen
Programmed to reaching, a station to leave
A carriage of commuters, to exit you weave
Hustle-bustle, towards London grew
Quietly reading a book, there were a few
As those by a window, could turn away
Ignoring the people, they saw each day
I do remember, when surrounded I felt
On the outside looking in, as if I could melt
Disappearing instantly, from physical form
Floating the atmosphere, from moments torn
Sometimes we're happy, alone with thought
Private-personal, imagination caught
Until the time, when ready to share
Special memories, with someone who cares
These people are rare, listen and know
That all have dreams, a place we go
When timing is right, to tell the world
Dreams and hopes, to be unfurled
Finding that person, who shares and cares
Harder than we imagine, becoming a pair
Can souls merge, share different dreams
Woven together, yet individually supreme
Will one over-rule, without a care
For the others needs, or do a pair
Have to share dreams, day by day
Surely this ensures, one dies day to day

About this poem:
Many of us have personal goals, and its wonderful when two share becoming a whole.......without expecting one to let their dreams go.....
