Innocence Anew

In a moonlit pool
eccentric circles ripple
from my fair lassie
As she bathes
Her youth is ageless
Mine as hers
'Tis the fountain of Youth
In which we join
Time suspends impotently
As I stroke her hair
With wonder in my eyes
Knowing we have always been
And will forever be
Innocent together;
Innocent anew.

gardenhackle: a gentle write past the growth of wisdom/cynicism back to innocence...nice.

yea..i just want to know where that pool is!
it's lovely not just because the words are
good but the way it reads, it feels like
there is all the time in the world to read it.
