Rhetorical Questions

Do you really need a lover's touch?
Doesn't life go on without it?
Can you not enjoy things just as much
When you're the only one about it?

Do you really need to deeply care
For someone that you want to know?
Is being alone so much to bear
That living so you cannot grow?

I'm afraid in this is shallowness,
Some scrambled words with meaning void.
For who could truly answer "no"?
and have a life that they enjoyed?

well, let me put it like this, i could live in half a house which would give me half the space, i could drive half a car and go half the journeys, i could read half of a story and never get the full meaning. i could do all these things - but i don't want to - i want the full version of everything, unabridged, undivided and uncompromised...
