The Old Man!

The old man left our house, took my car and drove away, I was twenty one, I remember to this day, There was no goodbye, there was no adieu, there was never, we'll never see you, again, And life went on, with someone gone, like a dis

two broken hearts

two broken hearts

I dated my first girl friend and we looked at each other like we were in love! The way she spoke one night when she was only trying to explain her schoolar ship... made me think she was leaving! After a week of confusion and mis understanding, when she found out why i was acting weird she decieded to break up with me anyway!

To my lost soulmate

To my lost soulmate

I am a writer, this was penned one night as i thought about the only girl i truly loved, we were devoted. After finally getting together, we spent one magical day together, the next day i lost her for always and it nearly killed me. 16 years on i still love her as if yesterday. But this poem hides deep dark emotions.

Where the Willows Bend

Where the Willows Bend

This poem was written to honor a great woman who composed a song that inspired many people of my generation. That song was "Stones", and it was a medieval folk song written by a true modern-day bard. If you've ever played the Ultima series of computer role-playing games, then you know what Stones is, and who this woman was. If you haven't, then just enjoy the poem for what it is, and let its' magic wash over you. (I originally posted this at the Starlite Cafe poetry site back in 2009, under the name Grailknight777.)

Today!

How do we feel today?, too overwhelming for anyone to say, regression, depression, fear just being here? Confused? Refused the right to live, to give, no verbal discussion, just physical concussion, and all because of (rushing), into a whole new way,

Again!

And still we repeat, still we retreat, until we're backed into a corner, only then will the battle for survival become the host of a new revival, new wisdom to see, what things there could be, but twill only get lost in history. Again!

I woke!

I woke today, just like yesterday, but with winters rain against my window pane, on this summers day, was wrong!, , no sunlight shadow crossed my bedroom there, no birdsong noone to care, and the light would dim, lie down and die, forsaken who? you o

Launch Complex 34

Launch Complex 34

On January 27, 1967, NASA astronauts Virgil I. Grissom, Edward H. White, II, and Roger B. Chaffee were aboard an Apollo spacecraft and Saturn IB rocket for what was supposed to be routine ground testing of the systems. America was heading for the Moon, and all-up testing was designed to ensure spacecraft functions, the Launch Control Center, and other critical pieces required to get to the Moon. The test was considered non-hazardous. A 100% oxygen-fed fire ignited in their Command Module, and all three perished in just a few minutes as launch pad personnel desperately tried to open the multi-layered hatch which was designed to be hard to remove to preserve spacecraft hull integrity. Others tried to fight the fire while rescue crews arrived, but it was to no avail. Launch Complex 34 was decommissioned after the manned Apollo 7 launch, and the launch platform left as part of a memorial to the astronauts. In honor of their lost lives, NASA also deemed that the astronauts should be forever honored by honoring their crew name of Apollo 1, which would have been the first manned Earth-orbit flight for the Command and Service Modules. Their official mission patch is black-bordered in publicity photos of the men taken before their deaths, rather than do afterwards in memoriam. Some 55 years after their deaths, the LC-34 platform still stands, with two plaques honoring the men attached to the platform legs, as well as additional memorial information added to the site.

Making a Choice

Making a Choice

This poem is about suicide or thoughts of wanting to kill themselves or harm themselves or others. There are many reasons people tend to commit suicide. Down on life, relationship problems, bullied or abused both mentally and physically. This short poem is meant to anyone who might be thinking of hurting themselves or anyone else. The person in this poem is crying out to God to kill him, he cries out all night long and cries through the night. When he see's the sunrise he realized God din't kill him. So he was angry at God and yelled and screamed at him. He wanted to know why he didn't kill him. And God told him he had a choice as did every human he made. He could harm himself and his soul lost forever or he could recieve his gift and join him in heaven. What will your choice be?
