On England Bloom

On England Bloom

When I read about this tradegy I was moved to tears at the loss of such innocence and at the same time angry at such a crime. Both very strong emotions (grief and anger) that stirred in me a need to express my feelings. I do write poetry that whilst driven like many arts by emotion, are inspiring as well. Thank you for letting me share it...great idea this forum. :)

If Something Happened to Me

If something did happen to me, I would be curious to know how everyone who knew me would react. I wasn't liked that much, and it would just make me wonder if anyone would mourn the loss of my life.

The Statue Cemetery by the Ga Univ Stadium

The Statue ( Cemetery by the Ga Univ. Stadium )

I pulled out this picture of a beautiful young woman who was made from her picture as a statue after her death in the early 1900's. The sculptor made her taller than her real life but she was beautiful, and you had to go behind a huge marble wall to walk up to her ... it was unusual but get photography..so I pulled out this picture of her and wrote an imaginary poem.

FORGOTTEN Thoughts from beyond the grave

FORGOTTEN (Thoughts from beyond the grave)

I literally thought this up on the spot whilst out walking in Uxbridge in Middlesex. I walked past a graveyard that had seen better days and noticed how unkempt most of the gravestones were and it was saddening to see. That is when I thought how it must be for the dear departed once their memory became further and further away from their onceloved ones :(

Dont Kiss Them Goodbye

Don't Kiss Them Goodbye

It's about the loss of a loved one. I wrote it because people have a difficult time letting go. They also have a difficult time with remembering that their loved one is still very near to them and I wanted to bridge that gap for them.
