I originally wrote this over four years ago, liked the concept but never the content, so recently rewritten.
This is my first poem in English. It's actually lyric for a song. I wrote it today.
At my age this is fairly accurate. I am on a sabbatical from my novel because I need to write some new poetry, not much, but one now and again to refresh my warped mind.
Just another translation of several stanzas from the long poem.
A scene in a two-actor drama! Once I read that the saddest thing in the world is loving someone, who used to love you. It is even worse when this love is ridiculed by crowd, when all innermost feelings are trampled. “Love, unrequited, robs me of my rest: Love, hopeless love, my ardent soul encumbers...” wrote W. Gilbert. This is my translation from the famous Russian poetess Bella Akhmadulina. I attach a video file in which you can listen to the audio performance by the actress reading the poem in Russian. For those who know Russian and just for the pleasure of listening to the masterly recital. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWnwQpJcthA
Wrote on June 17, 2010:
We have all watched men and women walk right past someone we know is good and take up with the crumb that we know is going fail and soon.
I found myself so stupid to have loved you. That time my heart said, “Go ahead!” my brain said, “No, hold on!” I ignored my brain; followed my heart and you torn me apart. This time I’ll follow my heart and listen to my brain. And then I’ll learn to love again.
Self explanatory, I hope, like the note!
I am now scattered!!, time for bed
Afar as the eye can see i am standing alone by the sea waiting for the guest to be to stand next to me Alone i feel standing here looking down into the abyss for you have been gone years snatched away from me Clouds race by and as far a
I don’t like when someone said “you are too good for me” and walked away…. It doesn’t make sense… >__<
So many people alone on the holidays, such as myself..I thought I would write a poem expressing the loneliness...Kind of came out like lyrics to a song..
Cuz I miss him ...
I must confess, I once fell in love online (I know, I'm old enough to know better! : ) I called her my 'Indian Princess' because she was from India. It was a brief but intense relationship that we both knew would never become reality. (The distance and cultural barriers made it impossible!) . . . I guess that how love works sometimes.
I remember the first day, I actually set eyes upon you, Standing there by the door, You'd been waiting there patiently for hours.. Looking lost, and a bit forlorn in that old blue denim jacket. I watched you for a few moments before I sighed
Bloody Hell!!, my watch just stopped!!
This poem was written 38 years ago after my Love had died In the States. I would have taken her eternal breath Into me and she would have dwelt within me always. This was not to be. Maybe It Is the curse of one such as myself to walk his many lifetimes alone. Not likely, this Is me we're talking about. As you see, always have to lighten the mood when thinking of this lady. My thinking here, If I go back to an older corner, where I belong, why not make my first write an old write that means much to me. The poem tells the way It should have been.
There was this new girl joining my class, whose skin was as pristine as a glass. When she enered for the first time, every boy's heart was in musical rhyme. She was quiet, she was attentive, but that was the very reason for her to be so destructi
A lovers plight..

For seven years I've longed for your love, That's deep and blue as the ocean's bliss - As winged she flies - a lonely dove - Through the storm's eye in search of your kiss;- No longer I'll watch the empty cove, And dying waves that beg for a try
This is a true story which happened about 8 years ago. Lori was from Knoxville TN. She was only 38 and she was beautiful. We were supposed to meet but she couldn't drive due to her surgery, then one day she didn't come online anymore. While she was alive I told her "I love you" I can only hope that gave her at least a small measure of comfort in her darkest hour.
Love can be a sinister thing Like listening to church bells ring While you are stoned Why can't we just be ourselves And be like no one else Who has ever come and gone Why try to fake a smile Knowing all the while That happiness isn't there
Did you ever have the feeling That was the best you ever had Did you help it feel good Or did it get there All By itself. It's said life's not about love Yet, if it's knockin on your door Would you open it wide. Your face has a smile
So vividly I recall love's song she sang The gentle humming of the surf to my soul The majestic waves washing o're me gently Filling my heart with an e
I just discovered how a man betrayed me and say hello to being free. Again. For Schaun.

not everyone can be saved, even them that you might love and sometimes we have to know that in order to save yourself.
Yeah well, but I love writing it!
Vokzal is a railway station in Russian. Performed by Russian singer and actress Yekaterina Guseva. The music is all important here. I translated lyrics in case you get interested in what Yekaterina is singing about. It's all about parting - the same old sad story. I am sure all of us know well the bitterness of it. No bitter partings and good luck in love, dear poets!
I originally wrote this as a song, but alas I can't write music.. so although I have it in my head.. lol..
Simple words have a deep love story

I tried to put myself in the position of a jaded lover and wrote this piece. I think there are persons here to whom it may apply. It does not apply to myself directly. (Iambic Tetrameter)
If I wore jewellery perhaps I could rename this trilogy as The Lord Of The Blings, If I could.
