If only

If I could be given a moment more And render you to life and restore The time missed out and the love lost Could I ask you to pay such cost? Would I want the angels to spring your release And steal away your heavenly peace Would I want for

A BROKEN DREAM

A BROKEN DREAM.

This poem was written in memory of my wife, who passed away on 16th January, 2007. Actually, the poem came to me while she was still alive and I asked myself a question___ What if she was not with me? All the experiences described in the poem are all real life instances.....like me waking up in the middle of the night and emotions I began to feel at that moment.

Georgia was very young teenager and died last week of cancer, she was such an on to it young lady and only wanted the best for all. No holes barred she said what she did, Georgia lived down the road from where I live. I will go on Saturday to meet her parents. Never meet them before. But I will. Having farms down the road could be quite a long way away. "Who cares" Me For Georgia!

Departure

You, on that day of threshing, spoke of your requirements: to be upbraided, to be unloosed from these blue garments. I recall you sobbing, in twilight, in the upper garden… Hush now, listen to me: you have touched a patch of wet clover s

Kiwi Loss

Kiwi Loss

Written in sympathy for the 50 who were mercilessly gunned down and for their friends, families and fellow New Zealanders who suffer these overwhelming losses. Such terrorist acts are an attack against all who hold peace and each other within loving hearts. May our communities find or construct avenues to reclaim civility and health.

Launch Complex 34

Launch Complex 34

On January 27, 1967, NASA astronauts Virgil I. Grissom, Edward H. White, II, and Roger B. Chaffee were aboard an Apollo spacecraft and Saturn IB rocket for what was supposed to be routine ground testing of the systems. America was heading for the Moon, and all-up testing was designed to ensure spacecraft functions, the Launch Control Center, and other critical pieces required to get to the Moon. The test was considered non-hazardous. A 100% oxygen-fed fire ignited in their Command Module, and all three perished in just a few minutes as launch pad personnel desperately tried to open the multi-layered hatch which was designed to be hard to remove to preserve spacecraft hull integrity. Others tried to fight the fire while rescue crews arrived, but it was to no avail. Launch Complex 34 was decommissioned after the manned Apollo 7 launch, and the launch platform left as part of a memorial to the astronauts. In honor of their lost lives, NASA also deemed that the astronauts should be forever honored by honoring their crew name of Apollo 1, which would have been the first manned Earth-orbit flight for the Command and Service Modules. Their official mission patch is black-bordered in publicity photos of the men taken before their deaths, rather than do afterwards in memoriam. Some 55 years after their deaths, the LC-34 platform still stands, with two plaques honoring the men attached to the platform legs, as well as additional memorial information added to the site.

Wading the Waters of Lethe

Wading the Waters of Lethe

Little is noticed, less remembered. Not completely written down, and cut at the templates. What is not burned is wholly lost but for the mention in another's fragment, which is edited in the compilation and lied about in the quotation.

Suffer the little children to come unto me Matt 19 14

“Suffer the little children to come unto me..”Matt.:19-14

I know it’s late but I had to say something. I hear responsible gun owners and the majority of Americans want gun legislation that prevents this daily occurrence. Lawmakers must do better. Were it their own kids dying they would do something Yesterday! Inflation, the economy are important but people are dying senselessly. This cannot be ignored!
