Frustration about the life, when many Faces and Masks looks to be the accepted trend as normal, together with the playing cards!
I had to write this Poem, because I feel so frustrated being one little drop in a Ocean of 7 billion other, not having any chance to turn the direction.
I have really gone a long way from VCR to DVR. No tapes to store and a better image. The time it used to take to fast forward through commercials is a real time saver.
This poem refers to The Dukes of Hazard, The Cosby Show, and Looney Tunes characters the love crazed skunk Pepe Le Pew and the Mexican mouse Speedy Gonzalas. These shows are no longer on TV, just DVD. This poem is a parody of the theme song from Dukes of Hazzard.
I put up my Trump sign yesterday and didn't even have it in the ground when a neighbor asked why a liberal like me would support a man like Trump. I explained it was just a Halloween decoration and later I would be putting up some skeletons and a newspaper dummy around September 15.
Prejudice is generated thoughts given strength by a folly of feelings and actions sometimes confirmed by differences, personal experiences, fear and ignorance. Historically our differences has divided us rather than united us, simply because we lack u
This list goes on and on, there are so many bad people out there doing so many really bad things. I was listening to Jill Stein debate Hillary and Trump on the internet, she was banned from tv.
I sing every day in my car. If I had a house I would sing much more, but apartments don't work too well as I like to sing really loud. Most of my songs are pop songs and I try to taylor them to the holidays.
I was having a bit of a rant at the sad materialistic world we live in
I have the day off today which I am thankful for. There are certainly people with worse days than this. Like George Carlin said, "What do white people have to be blue about? White people have to realize their job is to give people the blues, not to get them."
In honor of a world we once knew which will disappear because of our indifference and nonchalance. It's easier to accept defeat especially for those who are weak.
I wrote this poem in my spare time. I am naturally a deep thinker and when I was young, the Internet did not exist. Neither did mobile phones for that matter. I remember black and white TV in my early childhood. The Internet has opened a new world but in my opinion, there is the good and the bad. Children are more exposed now than ever before to the negative that social networking sites and the harm they can do when it comes to bullying. This is a very important issue which should be controlled by parents and gpvernment bodies and taken seriously. Yes, children will lie about their age and many other things to join facebook and other networking sites but they shouldn't be able to until they reach a certain legal age. Some people have strong characters and simply ignore nasty comments and can handle them. Other people are not so strong and this makes the vulnerable. There are a lot of scammers and wicked people that will not stop at anything to deceive honest people on dating sites or simply steal personal information to put to bad use. There is no point in pretending the Internet is all good because we are all intelligent enough to see what is good and what is not. I hope you enjoy my poem.
Just having some fun with the election. Only four days left of this entertainment.
Stop teaching hatred through bad examples. Stop teaching fear through violent reaction. Stop all the killing. Stop all the war. Stop shouting "gung-ho", when you don't know what its like to see some of your loved ones killed; and you're left stan
Respect is something that is so important, and so hard to find in other people I have come across. Those who truly have respect for women, especially pretty women is pretty awful in this country. I wonder how we match up with Canada or Norway.
I have quite heavily borrowed from another poem for the style of this one, although not quite so much in content. I am not a postman but I have been in situations that allow me to identify with this one.
It is about the differing results of how we react to a warning.
Song I wrote...I can see the 1%er's in a board meeting somewhere discussing their fiendish plan...
Abstractive thinking about the meaning of live, love, joy, and happiness.
I should probably get another interest that is more peaceful, like bird watching!
Another car repair, I figure total cost of this car 5,500 plus abut another 5000 in repairs so far. It is a 2000 Cavalier. I do love to drive it!
A poem that's not good enough A brain that's not smart enough A talent that's just not there A pen in hand anyway Helps to pass the time away Whether mediocre or fair Connections not good enough Funds not rich enough A social life that's j
Sometimes we must accept the outcome of truth or suffer the consequences.
It happened before in 30-s and it's happening again.....It's like some kind of the cyclical nature of historical events
I've seen and heard of this behavior at plenty of jobs I have been at, I'm still waiting for justice for these women, hopefully the work world I live in will get woke too.
This economy has me concerned, but not enough to go for a walk, these cars are a lot of fun!
80's reflection
Policital Correctness is a Liberal Disease, ALWAYS tell and live within your truths
I have been complaining about this issue my whole life, from my nonexistent family members who don't want to be bothered, to the voters who vote for people like our current blunder, I hope he's ok after his fall on his nonpolluting bicycle.
Thanks for the challenge Yankee.
I have written so many poems about war. They are all in abstract forms. This is one of the only rhymed piece I have done. I hope it gives a clear message how brutal and heinous war is.
He's a professor at the University of Chicago on political science and International Relations. Very informative.
Some of the advertisements I see on TV are pretty aweful. One of the worst is for ASPCA, who gives 1/10 of one percent to the poor dogs they claim to care about.
We got the word that starting in June there will be no masks required at work if you have your covid shots and have two weeks after, then they put a sticker on your badge. Those who are afraid of the shots have to keep wearing those darn masks.
The entertainment industry really got a windfall with this guy. It has come to this. We are more interested in being entertained than getting things done. Just sit back with a cool beverage and a nice snack. I prefer Mello Yello and cheese curds.
We had some of the cheapest seats, at 59 dollars. The ones up front I figure went for around 300 dollars. REO Speedwagon is a good show.
