The Man In The Moon

The man in the moon ain't got nothing on me
You know he's really high and shines so bright
And when I'm with you I'm the same way too
And would you dance with the man in the moon tonight

People will say is it moon glo or love glo
And all I know is let me hold you tight
As you dance with the man in the moon tonight

All this moon dust has stirred up my eyes
And I have a double view of paradise
Looking at you I know everything will be alright
So would you dance with the man in the moon tonight

alex monster

my monster doesn't lurk or hide to spring out to attack you.
no he sneaks up on you he doe's.
he is very cunning is my monster.
he arrives by capsule or pram.
and i pick him up or he gets handed to me , doe's my monster.
and when i have him, he lays in my giant old arms.
he looks up and he see's me , his eyes go big and huge and then my monster grins.
a huge big grin , yes he doe's.
he is in his granddad's arms looking up,he smiles , with big eyes open.
then my monster blows bubbles.
he knows he is safe in these old arms and protected and loved.
watched over by his grand mum and his nog who have both pass on now.
as he falls sleep cuddled into my old hard arms.
he smiles and he blows bubbles.
he is my monster, my grandson.

Life with Claire

We didn't drift through the years
I remember the cute moments
like when you burst through the bathroom door
and threw the toaster into my bath
but it pulled from the plug on entry
and I blew smoke rings at the roof
and told you
"Baby I love it when you get frisky"
or when you pulled that gun
and fired six shots into the wall
and I told you
"Baby you're missing me on purpose,
but your arse looks so good in those jeans"
and later we'd melt into an embrace
now your all shacked up with
an accountant down on the river
and I'm left wondering
where the passion went

Her Monday smile

Her Monday smile carried
me to Tuesday when she
would sustain me with a
toss of her hair
On Wednesdays I'd show
up early just to absorb
her exotic stare
Thursdays nothing much
happened and Friday
wasen't her style
Just two days left til
Monday when she'd
bathe me in that smile-

Sun

May the sun always shine on all our hearts....

even in the darkest hour may only flowers grow from our hearts...

in the coldest night and frozen moon's may we all see sunlight bloom....

karma is true and so are you open your eyes to the real you...

Be kind be gentle and goodness will follow don't ever look back to leave your heart hollow.....

Some advice is nice but sometimes hard we have to learn to listen well and bring life's gifts from the wishing well....

We have nothing to fear but fear itself and we can't be beaten because where all strong like the sea even the Angels can see...

So let the sun shine now and smile because we will all find our true love with God's great Smile....

my love

my love
i am here my love
i have two giant arms to hold you with , my love
when two hearts meet and our two hearts greet
with a love so divine ,that will burn throughout time

my love can make you hotter than the sun
my love will make you wetter than the nile
and with a passion like a million stars burning for a thousand years.
all for you , my love

i am here my love
alone my love
waiting for you my love.

come find me my love
make me thine my love
and we will be together for all time my love
until we draw our last breathe together my love

are you my love?

About this poem:
my question is are you my love

and see
and find a passion that can split the heavens
and a fire that burns brighter than the sun.

The One for Us ....

You and I search and hope for the same ...
though the love of our life
may still yet to have a name ...

The one we'd want to love
with all our heart and soul ...
We hope to God up above
so we may find our goal ...

To love wholly and truly ,
as to be loved back entirely ...
May we find our hearts' longing and desire,
whether or not it be you & I ....

Anne

Like a Navigator, using maps of old,
I now consult my list for one more story,
Which I bring to you; (If I may be so bold);
As it yields to become Poetic Glory;
Which may skew the facts; - and yet it must be told,
By myself (now somewhat old and hoary);
Now reconstructed from the "mists of time"-
As I settle to the rhythm of my rhyme.

So locked down from Covid, in old Sydney,
I watch the news in intermittent bursts;
Feeling now, I well could lose a kidney;
Or catch the Delta Strain (which could be worse).
Nonetheless, I must write on, and give thee;
A true account of my 'lover's curse';-
And like the night-time rain, which falls relucent;
I write now of my life without inducement.

I drank the years away, let me tell you,
Time vanished in solution down the drain;
And yet I have the wit to now renew,
My memories, and half-forgotten pain;
Therefore, before, this rhyme now goes askew,
I will write down my story bold and plain;-
Concerning of a girl in Quaker's Hill*-
An encounter that was an act of will.

Does anyone remember Lavalife?
The lonely heart's club, using just the phone?
And if you do, you may have met your "wife"**
(Though not for me 'cos I am still alone).
Not that I was looking for such a strife;
But like the "poor stray" I need a loving home;-
I've swum in murky depths - yet they're pellucid;
And no one knows where they may find their cupid.

And yet the introduction service worked;
It worked a charm (as it was meant to do);
For as a lover, none of this I shirked,
Because ev'ry woman's diff'rent - so would you?
And so I put on my very best shirt,
(Having now a destination's rendezvous);
Her name was Anne **- she met me at the station;
Close to paddocks, (as the suburb was then).

The year two thousand and three, (maybe four),
My list is incomplete, and not conclusive;
At any rate 'twas Anne, she opened her car door;
We introduced ourselves, which was conducive,
To further happenstance (and maybe more);
The conversation did not feel intrusive;
And pretty soon we're both at her abode -
(I would have gone there sooner, had I know'd).

Anne and I were sitting tete a tete;
But not for long - soon we're on the sofa;
Another glass of wine to feel replete;
And quite soon after both of us in bed were;
Then making love betwixt the clean white sheets;
During which (and something like a gopher);
I went beneath to taste that furry heaven;
Which beats hands down the taste of bread unleaven!

Thus, the lovemaking, it did continue;
As rolling overhead a thunderstorm;
Pelted raindrops down the bedroom window;-
While lightning forked in phosphorescent form;
It gave me recourse to remain "in venue";
My prospects of leaving were now forlorn;
Now her on top, she tosses her long mane;
And where I was, I wished there to remain.

Her body womanly, her skin quite alabaster;
As I watched the ecstasy upon her face;
And her reasons, I never thought to ask her;
We're happy, private, and not in disgrace.
It transpired that her husband left her;
When he found a younger girl to take her place;-
T'was that (and maybe her diabetes);
The rogue was gone - with no need for entreaties.

As all good things, they must come to an end;
(I was happy, and so was she, in fact);
And of this tale, I do not recommend,
Superficial judgment - I don't retract,
A single word I've said, (or verse I blend);
So, you've had another anecdote, I'm back!
The CS poet, they call lovecanbereal;
Whose verse, and meter have a silky feel.

Hoodwinked……..

Angels walk amongst us
They’re rich but not so rare
Their value lies in their vision
Of love they want to share
They seek to change perspectives
To redirect the wrong
To open up the eyes of those
Who have struggled for so long
They are using good healthy food
And serving it with respect
While training those in need
To overcome their reject
They’ve walked the walk
An some maybe not
But what they see and what they do
Is action on the spot
It’s nourishing the minds
It’s opening doors wide
To share their love and knowledge
Should definetly be worldwide……

Infinite Urges

There is hunger to feast
That you simply don’t know
Urges to dine on your lips
Continually grow
This fever pitch longing
To know how you taste
Your mouth feeding mine
Gently embraced

An exchange of tongues
From my mouth to yours
Excitement builds heat
Sweat seeping pores

Let me cup thy face
As you pull me close
Let us seal the distance
Softly, nose to nose

My hunger for you
Honestly will not die
I’d just as soon halt
Retreat, say goodbye

I’m incapable, though
Longing won’t let me be
My heart may be locked
But you hold the key

What say you, beloved ?
How long ne’er to speak ?
‘Tis your voice, that I crave
An embrace that I seek

My love, like a fire
Burns a hole in my heart
Why is it so ?
We be miles apart

Every day it’s the same
And I constantly miss you
What be the harm ?
All I want, is to kiss you

About this poem:
Basically a poem about unrequited love.
He knew my feelings but, we had spiritual differences
that preventing him following through on mutual feelings
(because he was actually flirting with me for almost a year, and admitted caring for me)
