Could You Just Say?

I have a friend.
But do I, do I?
Is she just pretend?
Is she just in the sky?

Could you be my friend?
Could you really be there?
Could you be pretend?
Could you really care?

Just say you love me.
Just say it again.
Just say you’ll always be.
Just say you’re my one true friend.

Could you just say
you’ll always be?

my bed

I don't like to go to bed
But can't think of a better place
when Morpheus calls me...

Pain

Darkness has taken over me, I sit here all alone. I hear my heart slow and deep. My heart is broken and I have no way to shelter it from the pain. I cry and realize what has happened. The darkness is only in my mind for the sun is shining bright out side of my window. I feel like I am trapped in a closet with no way out. I grasp for something in the distance, hoping it is the thing that will change my life. I reach finding only emptiness, realizing what I thought was there was only the person I once was. Its so dark and so lonely. I have no escape. I am realizing what once was is no longer there. I cry for help, no one hears. I yell louder and still nothing. Why can’t someone save me from this? How did I get here and how do I leave? I was happy and that was stolen, I was innocent and that was taken. I was me and now I’m nothing. I’m forgotten and left to die and for what I’m unsure. I feel like I’m losing sight of life. I know that the hand of death is upon me. What can I do, I’m trapped. I hear the screams of tiny voices, little do I know they are my own. I am about to lose it maybe I already have. I am having trouble breathing it is over. There’s no escape. The voices grow into a roaring sound and heart beats faster and harder. My head spinning trying to solve this mystery that is my life. I feel like there is no escape and I suddenly feel strangled no longer able to breath. I need to end this but how? Do I take the only things in my reach. Do I take that knife and run the cold blade crossed my wrist? Do I take those pills not know what they are but take them all to end this torture? I’m so confused, why me? What have I done that deserves this punishment that I call my life? Was I a bad person for the choices that I made, for that’s what they were..choices. Will I pay for them with my life? Will I let that happen? Will I let them win? I just want this pain to end. To see the sun shine again. But my friend torture is living a life this way. This is no way to live. No happiness, no laughter, no joy. Just the sadness and tears that flood my soul. Is this the end or just the beginning of both the pain and my life. All I can hear is the sobbing that is coming from with in. So yes, I take that cold bladed knife. Its in my hand and I am ready to end this. I can’t take anymore of this pain. I’m not strong enough. I’m broken. So that knife runs slowly across my veins. Blood rushes everywhere and the physical pain is unbearable. But the pain inside finally stops. I am surrounded by a puddle of my own blood. I take my last breath. I see the sunshine and know I am going home.

JOHN

Farewell, my friend.
I hope you are where the fishes jump and the birds fly,
and your dog runs freely in the fields
you walk

You were the best of friends
and companions.
Never a bad word passed between us,
it was always laughter and respect

Such friends are rare.
Your memory will be treasured
and strengthen me
into the unknown future,
until we meet again.

The Royal Iris

I know a boat that sailed the mersey
the royal iris was she
in her green and yellow livery elegant was she
sailing up and down the mersey she did her best

in her magnificent livery ,mersey dances parties she did have ,looking her best in her night time party dress she even had a chippy on board for feasting was her delight
in the 70s she became a new queen painted in her new livery

Her blue bow wave and shining white livery top ,doing excursion tours on the river mersey she was at her prime her best she could be
oh it was a sad day when she retired on the mersey
sold to punters on the river themes her fate was unknown

later discoverd submerged in the themes just her bow wave above waters deep oh what a site this majestic queen has become a floating wheck to be seen her days of parties over are beloved royal iris queen

Acknowledgment

People never cease to amaze me.
How if you call them on an action they think you haven't noticed.
They'll walk away like it will not be.
When all they have to do is own up to their own.
To respect that I could.
But when there is no acknowledgment.
Respect why I should.
It is easy to act one way.
Then in a moment act another.
But if someone points this out.
You have nothing to say.
Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

Still Circlin

He's movin' all his stock, to that bare paddock
The fire's comin' through and it's comin' fast
With 1600 sheep and 200 cattle
When it comes to givin up he'd be the last

And the old brigade came by with the bad news
The big burn's on it's way and we need your help
So he kissed his wife goodbye and said I love you
And he left his stock to fend for themselves
It's just how it goes

And he's stil circlin'
'Round and 'round upon this dusty land
And he'll keep the mob together while he's workin'
Always keen to lend a helpin' hand
And he's still circlin

A windshift turned the fire past his homestead
And he was faced with putin' down his injured stock
Across the smokey flat all lame and breathless
His collie cirled round the frightened mob
He's doin' his job

And he's stil circlin'
'Round and 'round upon this dusty land
And he'll keep the mob together while he's workin'
Always keen to lend a helpin' hand
And he's still circlin

Through drought and flood and fire
Through hardship and good time
I'll raise my glass to every man and dog
If you look you'll always find

They're stil circlin'
'Round and 'round upon this dusty land
And they'll keep the mob together while they're workin'
Always keen to lend a helpin' hand
And they're still circlin

Still circlin'

Street Life Crisis

I have never given up and never lost a fight
Is this all i can ask for in this god forsaken life
is there more to me that i have yet to see
or is this just all of me a fearless boy from the street

Will i learn will i grow up or is this all just bad luck
did my families past bring bad karma my way
or am i the one who brought it on me, whose to say
I ask all the questions answers never to be found
but i try to love me for the way i am cause i believe that i am bound
